  Chapter Nine

The river was especially beautiful on the day of the wedding. It was about a week after the season was over, after José and Andrew had made their money. Josefina was especially beautiful. Her dress was long and elaborate. She looked like a princess. She also wore a white flower from the lake in her hair. Andrew made a point to decorate the river as beautifully as he could.

Josefina smiled as she walked down the aisle that was adorned with more white flowers. The entire town seemed to be there for the wedding. The bartender was Andrew's best man. There were even some local police officers in attendance, which made Andrew laugh a bit.

Josefina walked slowly and deliberately, never losing eye contact with Andrew. Andrew could see how excited she was. He was more excited, if possible.

A local minister married the two under a beautiful arch made of white flowers. The entire ceremony was held in Spanish. Andrew had spent the last couple of months becoming fluent, and he was able to express his vows in flawless Spanish. A small round of applause went through the crowd because everyone knew exactly how hard he had been working on his Spanish.

Josefina started crying when she said her vows. She looked especially beautiful with tears running down her cheeks and her huge smile.

Their kiss was the most beautiful kiss that they had ever shared. It was passionate, but tasteful. They both wanted more, but they knew that they had to wait until they were alone. The desire made the kiss even more passionate between the two.

They had a party after filled with food, music, dancing, and love. Many people gave the new couple presents and well wishes. Andrew and Josefina were forced to leave a tad bit early, though. After Andrew had cleared his name for the murder of Chris, he was able to travel as he pleased. He was also able to travel back to the United States and work as a magician. They said their good-byes to everybody and they made their way to the plane. It was the first plane that Josefina had ever traveled in. She was terrified and excited at the same time. When they arrived in Las Vegas, Josefina was completely intimidated by the lights and the people. She wasn't used to traffic, lights, and she definitely wasn't used to some of the women she saw on the street. The women that had the physique of a man especially confused her. She started to grow quite accustomed to the television, Internet, and the room service, though. She also didn't mind the money that Andrew made as a magician. They sent money back to Josefina's parents every month. After a while, Josefina was trained to be Andrew's assistant. She only took a year off when she was pregnant with their first child.
